Built for real dimming, not compromiseMost 12V power supplies force you to dim at the low-voltage side with a separate controller and remote. This
universal dimmable LED driver flips that around: it sits between your 120V circuit and your LED tape, and it takes its cue from the
standard wall dimmer already installed in the room. The result is the experience homeowners expect — one switch on the wall, one smooth fade, no buzzing transformer and no strobing at the bottom of the range. Because it requires no minimum load, you are not stuck adding dummy loads or extra strip just to keep the dimmer happy on a short under-cabinet run.

Electrical and installation notesAs a
constant voltage driver, it maintains a fixed 12V while the current varies with the length of tape connected — always keep your total strip wattage under the 60W output, and leave a little margin for comfort. The
Class 2 rating and
cETLus listing simplify inspections on both residential and commercial jobs in Canada. The 15.3 cm x 5.2 cm x 2 cm body tucks behind a toe-kick, above a cabinet, inside a bulkhead or in an accessible junction box; keep it reachable for service and let air circulate around it. Feed it from the dimmed leg of your 120V circuit, then run your 12V output to the strip, watching polarity at the connection point.
Compatibility — read this before orderingThis driver is designed strictly for
single colour LED strip light: warm white, neutral white, cool white or a single colour such as red, green or blue. If your project uses
RGB, RGBW or CCT-variable LED strips, dimming has to be managed by the LED controller, paired with a non-dimmable driver — this dimmable model is not the right choice there. The same rule applies if you want to drive single colour tape through a controller: use a non-dimmable driver in that case. Pair it with any recent standard 120V wall dimmer. For smaller installations, the
12V Universal Dimmable LED Driver 24W and the
12V Universal Dimmable LED Driver 48W share the same behaviour in a lower output.
Where it earns its keep, and documentationThink kitchen under-cabinet lighting that fades down for late-night snacks, a cove in a basement home theatre, bathroom mirror and vanity accents, stair nosings, a jewellery or bakery display case, a restaurant bar front, or reception millwork in a small office. Contractors like it because the client controls everything from a familiar wall plate — no lost remote, no app. The
technical PDF spec sheet for the 24W, 48W and 60W versions is available in the Documentation tab of this page, with input, output, dimensions and certification details to file with your submittals.
