Built for brightness
The heart of this high output LED strip is its chip layout: 128 Epistar 2835 High Output SMD chips per meter, packed tightly enough that the beams overlap and the line reads as one continuous band of light rather than a row of dots. The flexible circuit board uses 2 ounces of copper, which helps carry current over the full 5-meter roll and helps move heat away from the diodes. At 10 mm wide and 2 mm high, the strip slides into slim profiles and disappears under a cabinet lip, behind a valance or inside a cove, while the 3M self-adhesive backing makes the first mount quick and clean.
Light quality
You get 3000K warm white light with a CRI of 80+, which keeps wood tones, backsplashes, skin tones and merchandise looking natural instead of washed out. Typical luminous flux is 3200 lumens per meter — serious output for a tape light — and the 120° lighting angle spreads that light wide so a single run can light a whole countertop or shelf. Rated lifespan is 50 000+ hours, so once it's installed you can mostly forget about it.

Power, dimming and installation
This is a 12V DC product, so it needs a low voltage power supply — size it at 30W per meter of strip actually installed, and it is always wise to leave yourself some headroom. Connections are already on the roll: a female DC plug (17 cm) at one end and 2 wires (17 cm) at the other, so you can plug into a driver or wire into a junction as the job requires. For dimming, you have two proven routes: a low voltage dimmer paired with a remote or wall panel on the DC side, or a dimmable power supply controlled by a 120V AC dimmer on the line side. Because the strip is high output, heat management matters: install it on a heat-dissipating surface or inside an aluminum channel with a diffuser — you'll get better colour stability, a softer line of light and a longer life. Cut only on the marked points, every 4 LEDs (30 mm), and solder or use connectors at each new section.
Where it works and what's in the Documentation tab
Residential projects love it under kitchen cabinets, in pantry and closet shelving, along stair stringers, in cove ceilings and behind bathroom mirrors; commercial projects use it in display cases, retail shelving, bar fronts, reception desks and restaurant millwork. Remember it is IP20 and rated for indoor use only, so keep it out of showers, soffits and anywhere it can get wet. The technical spec sheet for this 2835 LED strip is available in the Documentation tab of this page, with the full chip, electrical and dimensional data to hand to your electrician or designer before you order your power supply and channels.
