Built to disappear into the millworkThe beauty of this
LED strip driver is how little of it you see once the job is done. The housing is thin and compact, which makes hiding your
LED power supply inside a cabinet toe-kick, above a valance, behind a crown moulding or in a soffit far easier than with a bulky brick. It ships as a junction box with two integrated mounting brackets, so instead of letting the driver dangle on its wires, you screw it flat against a joist, a stud or the back of a cabinet where it stays put and stays accessible for service later.
Dimming that actually behavesMost complaints about dimmed LED tape come down to the driver, not the tape. This unit is a constant voltage
dimmable LED driver engineered to work with any recent standard 120V AC wall dimmer, and it takes the light smoothly from 100% down to 20% without noise or flickering. Just as important, it does not require a minimum load. That means a single short run of strip over a bar top or inside a display case will still dim properly instead of dropping out, flashing or humming — the classic failure that forces installers to add dummy loads.

Wiring and compatibilityOn the line side, the driver is fed by standard
120V AC house power through the wall dimmer; on the load side, it feeds
24V single colour LED strip. Respect polarity at the strip connection and keep your total tape wattage within the 60W output — sizing a little conservatively leaves headroom and keeps the driver running cool. Because dimming happens on the 120V side, you do not need an in-line low-voltage dimmer or a receiver, which simplifies both the wiring and the client's daily use: one familiar wall control, one predictable result. This driver is for single colour strips; colour changing, tunable white and RGB tape use their own controllers. For larger or smaller installations in the same series, see the
24V Universal Dimmable LED Driver 24W and the
24V Universal Dimmable LED Driver 48W, and plan one driver per run rather than overloading a single unit.
Where it earns its keep, and what to readIn homes, think kitchen under-cabinet lighting, pantry and closet shelving, bathroom vanity accents, stair nosings, basement coves and home theatre soffits. In business, think retail shelving, jewellery and bakery display cases, restaurant bars, hotel headboards, reception logos and office millwork — anywhere a client wants to set a mood at the switch. The
cETLus certification for Canada and the USA is what inspectors and property managers want to see on a Class 2 low-voltage installation. The full technical PDF for the 24W, 48W and 60W versions of this
universal dimmable LED driver is available in the Documentation tab — download it before you rough in, so your junction box location and your dimmer choice are settled before the drywall goes up.
