Built to bend, cut and last
This is a high output RGB 5050 LED strip on a flexible 5-metre circuit board, 12 mm wide and just 4.25 mm high, so it tucks into shallow coves, under cabinets, behind headboards and along stair nosings without being seen. The 3M self-adhesive backing on the back lets you press it into place on a clean, dry, degreased surface. Cut marks appear every 3 LEDs (50 mm), which means you can size a run to a cabinet, a shelf or a boat cabin instead of coiling up the excess. Rated iP65+, it handles dry and humid environments and is approved for indoor and protected outdoor use, with an operating temperature range of 40C to -10C.
Colour you actually control
Each Epistar 5050 RGB SMD chip packs red, green and blue emitters into one package. By varying the intensity of the three channels, a single run can produce up to two million colours — deep saturated tones for an accent wall, softer pastels for a bedroom, or a slow colour fade for a home bar. With 60 LEDs per meter and a 120° lighting angle, the light spreads evenly and the dotting effect is reduced, especially when you diffuse it inside an aluminum channel with a frosted lens. The strip is dimmable with a low-voltage controller/remote combo, which is also what you use to switch colours and effects.

Wiring and installation
This is a 12V DC low-voltage strip, so it always needs a driver and an RGB controller between the strip and your line voltage. Size the supply using the recommended 18 W per meter: multiply by the length you're actually installing, and keep a margin rather than running a supply at its limit. Connections are made easy out of the box — there's a 4-pin male connector (17 cm) on one end and a 4-pin female connector (17 cm) on the other, so runs can be chained or extended with matching 4-pin accessories. If you cut the strip, make the cut exactly on the marked line and respect the polarity and the R, G, B channel order when you solder or clip on a connector. Heat dissipation is not necessary, but installing the strip on a heat-dissipating surface or inside an appropriate aluminum channel is recommended for longer life and a cleaner finish.
Where it works and what's in the Documentation tab
Homeowners use this colour-changing LED tape under kitchen cabinets and islands, around basement ceiling coves, behind TVs, in closets and along staircases. Contractors run it in restaurant bar fronts, retail display shelving, salon reception desks and hotel corridors where a colour scene changes the mood in seconds. Boaters and RV owners use it inside cabins and lounges — but not on the exterior of a boat or a vehicle, which this strip is not recommended for. Note again that the 12V version has been discontinued and the product is now available exclusively in 24V under code 24RGB300. The full technical PDF for this model is available in the Documentation tab, with chip, dimension, voltage and certification details to hand to your electrician or inspector.
