Built to be installed and forgotten
This is a constant voltage LED driver supplied in a black junction box, which is exactly what most installers want: the wiring compartment and the power supply arrive as one tidy unit instead of a bare brick hanging off a cable. The black finish blends into unfinished ceilings, cabinet toe-kicks and equipment rooms, and the enclosure keeps the electronics protected from dust and bumps during the rest of the build. The power supply measures 23cm x 7cm x 4.5cm and the junction box measures 37.7cm x 7.5cm x 5.3cm, so plan a service pocket a little larger than that and keep the unit reachable — a driver that can be replaced in five minutes is worth its weight in gold three years down the road.
Dimming that actually behaves
The whole point of this dimmable LED driver is compatibility with the dimmer already on the wall. It is designed to work with any recent standard wall dimmer, Triac or low voltage magnetic, on a 120V AC circuit, and it takes your single-colour LED tape smoothly from 100% down to 20% with no noise and no flickering. Because it does not require a minimum load, you are not forced to add extra tape just to make the dimmer stable — a short accent run under a floating shelf dims just as calmly as a full kitchen perimeter. Do keep in mind the one limit: this is a dimming solution for single-colour LED strips only. RGB, RGBW and CCT-variable tape must be dimmed through their own LED controller, paired with a non-dimmable driver.

Sizing and wiring
Add up the wattage per foot or per metre of your 24V LED strip multiplied by the total length you are installing, then compare it to the 96W output — leaving a comfortable margin is always smarter than running a driver at its absolute ceiling. On the secondary side you have 24V 4A available; feed long runs from both ends or split them into several home runs to avoid voltage drop and the faded look at the far end of a tape. On the primary side, the 100 - 120V AC input connects to a standard Canadian branch circuit through the junction box, and the dimmer is installed upstream on that line voltage feed, exactly like a dimmer on any incandescent or halogen fixture. Its cETLus certification for Canada and USA and Class 2 output make it a straightforward choice for inspected residential and commercial work.
Where it earns its keep, and what to read
Think under-cabinet and toe-kick lighting in kitchens, cove and tray ceiling lighting in living rooms and primary bedrooms, mirror and vanity accents in bathrooms, stair and handrail lighting in basements, plus commercial jobs: jewellery and bakery display cases, back-bar shelving, salon stations, reception desks, and boutique window displays where a dimmer lets staff set daytime and evening levels.
