Built for real wall dimmers
Most LED strip installations fall apart at the dimming stage: the driver buzzes, the tape flickers at low output, or the dimmer needs a minimum load it never sees. The 24V Universal Dimmable LED Driver from LED MONTREAL was designed around that exact problem. It works with any recent standard wall dimmer, dims from 100% to 20% without noise or flickering, and needs no minimum load, which is what makes it comfortable on small accent runs as well as longer cabinet installs. Because the dimming happens on the line side with a familiar 120V AC dimmer, there is nothing new for the client to learn — they walk in, slide the switch, and the light responds.
Constant voltage output and the junction box
This is a constant voltage LED driver: it holds a steady 24V DC while the LED tape draws what it needs, up to the rated 24W. The unit ships mounted in a white junction box, so the line-voltage connections are enclosed and finished rather than left loose above a ceiling or inside a cabinet gable. The white housing blends into painted drywall, closet interiors, vanity cabinets and utility spaces, and gives the installer a proper place to land the supply conductors and the low-voltage leads in one tidy spot.

Compatibility and sizing
Match the driver to the load: add up the wattage of the 24V LED strip you plan to run and keep the total within the 24W output. Longer or higher-output runs are simply split across additional drivers or handled by a larger power supply. Compatibility is the part to read twice — this model is meant for single-colour LED tape only. RGB, RGBW and CCT-adjustable strips must be dimmed through their own LED controller fed by a non-dimmable driver; a single-colour strip driven by a controller also calls for a non-dimmable driver. Being Class 2, the output side stays in low-voltage territory, which keeps LED tape work straightforward for residential and light commercial installs.
Where it earns its keep, and documentation
Think under-cabinet kitchen lighting that dims down for evening coffee, a bathroom mirror cove on the same dimmer as the ceiling fixture, stair nosing lighting in a finished basement, cove lighting in a living room bulkhead, or warm display lighting in a boutique, café or clinic reception. In Canadian homes and businesses where a wall dimmer is already roughed in, this dimmable LED driver lets you add strip lighting without adding a control system.
