Built for clean, continuous light
This is a flexible printed-circuit LED tape populated with Epistar 3528 SMD chips at 120 LEDs per meter. That tight spacing is the whole point: the closer the diodes, the less you see individual dots and the more you get a single soft line of light, especially when the strip sits in a diffused channel. The roll is 5 meters long, 8mm wide and 2mm high, so it slips into narrow reveals, cabinet undersides and shallow coves where a fixture simply would not fit. The back carries 3M self-adhesive tape for a fast, clean install on clean, dry, smooth surfaces. Cut marks fall every 3 LEDs (25mm), which means you can size a run to a shelf, a stair tread or a mirror frame almost to the centimetre.
Light quality you can live with
The colour temperature is 3000K warm white — the tone that reads as comfortable and residential, ideal for kitchens, bedrooms and hospitality spaces. With a CRI of 80+, colours stay honest: white cabinetry looks white, oak looks like oak, and skin tones in a bathroom mirror look natural. Typical luminous flux is 800 lumens per meter with a 120° lighting angle, so the light spreads wide and washes a surface instead of drilling a hot spot into it. Rated lifespan is 50 000+ hours, which is the kind of number that keeps you off a ladder for a very long time in a cove or a soffit.
Electrical and installation details
The strip runs on 12V DC and draws 9.6W/m, with a recommended power supply sized at 12W/m — always size your driver from that figure and the exact length you install. Connections are included: a female DC plug (17cm) at one end and 2 wires (17cm) at the other, so you can either plug into a matching low-voltage supply or hard-wire the run into a junction. It is dimmable, either with a low voltage dimmer/remote combo on the DC side, or with a dimmable power supply controlled by a 120V AC dimmer on the line side. Operating temperature range is 40C to -10C. Heat dissipation is not necessary, but installing the strip on a heat dissipating surface or in an appropriate aluminum channel is recommended — it protects the diodes, keeps output stable and gives the finished job a much cleaner edge.

Where it works and what comes with the page
Typical jobs: under-cabinet lighting in a kitchen, a lit cove around a living room ceiling, backlighting a bathroom mirror or a floating vanity, glowing shelves in a walk-in closet, display cases and reception desks in retail, bar shelving in a café. Because it is iP20, keep it indoors and out of direct contact with water — no showers, no exterior soffits, no unheated damp spaces. The cULus certification (E498952) covers both Canada and the USA, which matters on permitted residential and commercial work. To complete the system you will need a 12V DC driver sized to your total run and, optionally, a compatible low voltage dimmer or an aluminum profile with a diffuser. The full technical spec sheet for this strip is available in the Documentation tab of this page — download it before you order your power supply so your wattage calculation matches the exact length you plan to install.
