The 12V 5M IP20 Bendable 2835 White LED Strip (SKU BND2835SO-6000) from LED MONTREAL uses a unique M-shaped PCB that lets the tape flex sideways and follow just about any shape you throw at it. A PCB designed to bend
Standard tape lights only flex up and down; push them sideways and the copper traces crack. This bendable LED strip solves that with an M-shaped printed circuit board: the zig-zag pattern between each group of LEDs absorbs lateral movement so the tape can curve around letters, circles, ovals and free-form shapes without stressing the solder joints. At 6mm wide and 2mm high, it slips into narrow reveals and slim aluminum profiles, and the 3M self-adhesive backing holds it in place while you work. Wiring, dimming and installation
The strip ships with a female DC plug (17cm) on one end and 2 wires (17cm) on the other, so hooking it to a 12V DC driver is straightforward. Size your power supply using the recommended 11W/m figure and keep some headroom for long runs. Dimming is supported two ways: a low voltage dimmer/remote combo on the DC side, or a dimmable power supply controlled by a 120V AC dimmer on the line side. Because this is a strip-only roll, joins are made by soldering multi-braid wire to the exposed copper pads — quick connectors are not compatible with the M-shaped PCB. Always mount the tape on a heat dissipating surface or inside an appropriate aluminum channel; good thermal contact is what protects the lumen output over the long haul.
