Built to live outdoors
The body of this outdoor LED driver is a fully sealed, potted enclosure rated IP67, which means dust-tight construction and protection against temporary immersion in water. That is the level of sealing you want when a power supply is mounted under a deck, behind a sign cabinet, inside a soffit, or strapped to a structure where melting snow, sprinklers and driving rain are part of everyday life. Integrated mounting brackets extend the overall footprint to 24.2 cm and give you solid, screw-down anchoring on wood, metal or masonry without clamping the housing itself. At 6.9 cm wide and 4.2 cm thick, it slips into tight cavities where a bulky metal transformer box simply will not go.
Clean, constant 24V power
Output is 24V DC at 8.33A, for 200W of usable capacity — enough headroom to feed long architectural runs, multiple fixture groups or a large signage build from a single point. Input is 100 - 120V AC, the standard line voltage found in Canadian homes and light commercial buildings. This unit is not dimmable, so plan on full-output operation: it is ideal for systems switched by relay, contactor, photocell or timer rather than by a wall dimmer. Because it is a Class 1 power supply, the secondary side is not inherently limited the way a Class 2 driver is, which is exactly why it belongs in engineered installations.

Installation, compliance and compatibility
Read this part carefully, because it decides whether this is the right driver for you. A Class 1 transformer of this capacity is not intended for ordinary low-voltage LED strip installations. Powerful Class 1 supplies are reserved for professional LED applications where the load is divided through recognized fuses and the whole installation is inspected and recertified by an accredited body such as UL, Intertek or QPS. Your electrician does not have the authority to complete that inspection. For a standard LED strip light project, choose a Class 2 driver instead — a maximum of 96W at 24V or 60W at 12V — or a 24V driver with several 96W outputs that divides the load into compliant circuits, so no special inspection is required. On the wiring side, keep line-voltage input and 24V output conductors properly separated and protected, use outdoor-rated cable and connectors, respect polarity on the DC side, and size your wire gauge for the run length so you avoid voltage drop at the far end.
Where it shines, and the paperwork
This driver is at home in outdoor architectural lighting on commercial façades, illuminated channel letters and sign boxes, parking lot and walkway accent lighting, landscape and garden layouts, dock and deck perimeters, and large soffit runs on custom homes. Contractors like it because one sealed 200W unit replaces a cluster of small adapters and can be serviced from a single accessible location. Everything you need to confirm the numbers is in the Documentation tab: the technical PDF spec sheet lists the input, output, dimensions, certification and dimming status so your designer, engineer and inspector are all working from the same page. When in doubt about classification, load division or fusing, bring the spec sheet to the professional signing off on your installation.
