Built for a smooth, warm line of light
The heart of this amber LED strip is the Epistar 3528 SMD chip, installed at a density of 120 LEDs per meter on a 2-ounce copper circuit board. That heavier copper matters: it helps carry current cleanly along the run and manage heat, which is why this LED tape is rated for 50 000+ hours of service. The flexible board is only 8mm wide and 2mm high, so it tucks into slim coves, cabinet reveals and channels where a bulkier fixture would never fit, and the 3M self-adhesive backing lets you press it into place without brackets or screws.
Light quality: the 1800K amber difference
At 1800K, this is not "warm white" — it is a deep, golden amber glow close to candlelight or an old filament lamp. It flatters wood, brick, leather and bottle displays, and it keeps evening spaces relaxed instead of clinical. Output is a typical 400 lumens per meter with a 120° lighting angle for even spread, and the CRI 80+ rating keeps colours looking natural rather than washed out. Dimming brings the whole thing down to a whisper: use a low voltage dimmer/remote combo, or a dimmable power supply controlled by a 120V AC dimmer.

Wiring and installation
Every roll ships ready to connect: a female DC plug (17cm) on one end and two wires (17cm) on the other, so you can either plug straight into a matching 24V driver or hard-wire into a low voltage system. Size your power supply at 12W per meter of strip — a full 5 metre roll therefore needs a driver sized accordingly, and leaving headroom is always the smart move. Cut only on the marked points, every 6 LEDs (50mm), then solder or use a connector. Because it is a 24V LED strip, voltage drop over a long run is far less of a problem than with 12V, which makes it a good pick for long cove ceilings and bar fronts. Heat dissipation is not strictly necessary, but installing the strip on a heat-dissipating surface or inside an aluminum channel with a diffuser is recommended for a finished look and a longer life.
Where to use it, and the paperwork
Think cocktail bars and lounges chasing a speakeasy mood, restaurant banquettes, hotel corridors, retail display cases, home theatres, basement bars, floating shelves, headboards and stair nosings. In Canadian homes and businesses, that long dark stretch from November to March is exactly when a 1800K accent line makes a room feel welcoming. Keep it dry and indoors: the iP20 rating means no exterior soffits, no wet locations.
