Built for smooth, even light
This LED tape light packs 192 LEDs per meter of Epistar 2835 SMD chips across a slim 12mm-wide, 2mm-high flexible board. The 2-ounce copper circuit board is a real advantage: more copper means better current distribution and better heat management along the full 5 meters, which protects colour consistency from one end of the run to the other. The 120° lighting angle spreads the output wide, so when the strip sits in a cove or behind a diffuser, you see a continuous line of light rather than a row of hot spots. Cut points fall every 14 LEDs (71mm), giving you plenty of flexibility to fit real-world cabinet and ceiling dimensions.
Dim to warm: the incandescent effect
What makes this dim to warm LED strip special is the two-chip design. Turn it up and you get Warm White 3000K for everyday tasks; turn it down and the colour temperature drifts to Vintage White 2200K, mimicking the amber shift of a traditional filament lamp. Combined with a CRI 90+ rating, the result is flattering, natural-looking light — ideal over a dining table, in a hotel-style bedroom, or along a restaurant bar where the room needs to change character between lunch and dinner service. Typical output is 1530 lumens per meter, enough for genuine accent and task lighting, not just decoration.

Electrical, dimming and installation
Running at 24V DC, this strip holds its brightness over longer runs than 12V tape and stays safe to handle during installation. Size your driver using the 19.2W/m recommendation and the actual length you install. Dimming is supported two ways: a low voltage dimmer/remote combo on the DC side, or a dimmable power supply controlled by a 120V AC dimmer on the line side — the second option is the one contractors usually choose when the client wants a wall dimmer. The pre-attached wires (17cm on each end) make series feeding and end-feeding straightforward. Heat matters: the strip must be installed on a heat-dissipating surface or inside an appropriate aluminum channel, which also gives a finished look and lets a diffuser hide the individual diodes. Keep it indoors, since the IP20 rating offers no protection against water.
Where to use it, and documentation
Think kitchen under-cabinet and toe-kick lighting, crown-moulding coves in a living room, staircase nosings, wardrobe and pantry shelving, headboard backlighting, reception desks, retail display cases and café millwork. Because the light warms as it dims, it suits any space that shifts from bright and functional to soft and intimate — a duplex kitchen that becomes an evening gathering spot, or a small clinic waiting room that needs to feel welcoming.
