Built for continuous, fixture-grade light
This CDNLUX LED strip (model MTL-FP10AEIDJ-320AXX) uses Epistar 2835 High Output SMD chips at a density of 320 LEDs per meter. That density is the whole point: the closer the emitters, the less you see individual hot spots, which is why this tape is a favourite for suspended linear fixtures, cove details and any application where the light source is visible or reflected off a nearby surface. The circuit board is a 3-ounce copper build, a heavier board that carries current more evenly and helps keep brightness consistent from the feed point to the far end of the run.
Light quality you can trust
At 3000K warm white with a CRI of 90+, colours stay honest. Warm white sits in that comfortable, welcoming zone that flatters wood, brass, stone and textiles, while the 90+ colour rendering keeps merchandise, artwork and finishes looking the way the designer intended. The 120° lighting angle spreads the output widely, so when the strip is tucked into a cove or a channel with a diffuser, you get a smooth wash rather than a striped ceiling. Typical output is 4490 lumens per meter, which is enough to use this tape as a real light source, not just an accent.

Electrical and installation details
Power the strip with a 24V DC supply sized using the 38W/m recommendation rather than the 31W/m draw — that headroom keeps the driver cool and the light stable. With 1 meter leads on both ends, you can feed from either side, run two segments from a single driver, or cut the 2.5 meter roll into two pieces and wire each one where you need it. Cuts must land on the marked lines every 8 LEDs (25mm). Dimming is supported two ways: a low voltage dimmer/remote combo on the DC side, or a dimmable power supply controlled by a 120V AC dimmer. Because this is a high output tape, heat management is not optional — the strip must be installed on a heat dissipating surface or inside an appropriate aluminum channel, which also protects the tape and gives the finished job a clean, built-in look.
Where it works, and what's documented
Think kitchen under-cabinet and toe-kick lighting, bathroom mirror surrounds, closet and pantry shelving, stair nosings, headboard coves, retail display cases, bar backs, office reception walls and custom suspended fixtures in clinics or salons. The IP20 rating means dry indoor locations only, so keep it out of exterior soffits, unprotected showers and anywhere it could see water. For specifications, cut points and wiring details, the technical PDF spec sheet for this LED tape is available in the Documentation tab of this page — handy when you're submitting a project or sizing drivers and channels before the install.
