Built for real-world installs
This is a flexible RGB LED strip cut to a clean 1-metre length, populated with 60 LEDs per metre of 5050 SMD chips. The 5050 package holds the red, green and blue dies in a single diode, which is what lets one strip fade through colours smoothly instead of showing three separate points of light. The circuit board bends around corners and curves, and the back is pre-applied with 3M adhesive so mounting is a matter of cleaning the surface, peeling and pressing. The IP65+ coating seals the top of the strip against dust and splashes, a real advantage in kitchens, bathrooms, basements and behind bars where humidity is part of daily life.
Light quality and colour
Brightness is rated per colour channel: 650 mcd red, 1000 mcd green and 400 mcd blue. Mixed together through an RGB controller, those three channels give you warm ambers, deep blues, greens, purples and everything in between, plus the static colour scenes and fades most controllers offer. With 60 LEDs per metre, the diodes sit close enough together that the light reads as a continuous line rather than a row of dots when you tuck the strip into a channel or behind a lip — exactly what you want for under cabinet LED lighting and cove details.

Electrical and connection details
Because this is a 12V low-voltage LED strip, it is friendly to work with: no line voltage exposed along the run, and it pairs with a standard 12V DC power supply sized with the 18W/m recommendation in mind. Each end of the strip has a male connector that can be removed to turn it into a female connector, which means you can chain a couple of 1-metre sections together, or splice this piece onto the tail of an existing 5-metre roll, without fighting mismatched ends. Keep in mind the package is strip only — the driver, the RGB controller or remote, and any extension wires are separate items to plan into your bill of materials.
Where it works and what's on the page
Homeowners use these short sections under kitchen cabinets, inside pantry shelving, around bathroom mirrors, along stair nosings, behind TV units and in kids' rooms for colour-changing fun. Contractors and small businesses put them in retail display cases, restaurant and bar fronts, reception desks, hotel corridors and conference rooms where a colour scene sets the mood in seconds. Because the strip is only one metre, it is also the smart choice for mock-ups and samples before committing to a full run.
