A PCB built to bend
What makes this bendable RGB LED strip different is the circuit board itself. Instead of a straight ribbon that only curls along one axis, the M-shaped PCB opens and closes like an accordion, so the tape can follow curves, corners and serpentine paths laid flat on a surface. That is exactly what channel letters, logos and rounded objects demand. The trade-off is deliberate: to keep that flexibility, the strip carries no silicone coating, which is why it is rated iP20 and belongs indoors, away from moisture and splashes. Sold as strip only, it lets you pair it with the 12V power supply, controller and mounting hardware your project already calls for.
Colour and light quality
Each meter packs 42 Epistar 5050 SMD LEDs — authentic high-performance chips that deliver up to 50% more brightness than standard RGB strips. The three-in-one 5050 package mixes red, green and blue in a single diode for clean colour blending and smooth transitions rather than visible dots of separate colours. Typical light output is measured at Red 620-625 nm, Green 515-520 nm and Blue 465-470 nm, and the 120-degree lighting angle spreads colour evenly across the surface behind your letters or into a cove. Dimming is handled through remote control only, using an RGB controller with its remote, so plan your control method before installation.

Wiring, cutting and installation
Cut only on the marked cut points, every 3 LEDs (7.2 cm), so each segment keeps a complete circuit. Since there are no quick connectors available for this product, connections are made by soldering multi-braid RGB wire to the exposed copper pads — the standard method for jumping from one letter to the next or from one side of a curve to the other. Size your 12V power supply from the recommended 11 W/m rather than the 9 W/m minimum to leave headroom, and feed long runs from both ends or in parallel sections to keep colour consistent. A heat sink is highly recommended: mounting the tape on aluminum channel or an aluminum backing plate pulls heat away from the chips and protects long-term output.
Where it earns its keep, and documentation
Think illuminated channel letters and logos above a reception desk, halo-lit signage in a retail store, curved display cases in a jewellery shop, a rounded bulkhead in a home theatre, a serpentine cove in a restaurant ceiling, or colour accents wrapped around a bar front. It suits both residential and commercial work, anywhere an installer needs RGB colour-changing light to follow a shape that a rigid tape simply cannot. The technical PDF spec sheet for this product is available in the Documentation tab of this page — keep it handy for widths, cut points and power sizing when you plan the run.
