Designed for tight spacesThe 84 series is the thinnest profile of the range, created for installations where space is limited. Its
compact form factor fits where a larger extrusion would show or simply not fit: the underside of a shallow cabinet, the edge of a shelf, a toe kick, a niche or the inside of a display case. It accommodates a variety of
white and coloured LED strips (RGB and RGBW), which makes it just as useful for functional task lighting as for colour-changing accent lighting in residential and commercial projects.
Why house your strip in aluminum?A bare LED strip stuck to a surface rarely looks finished. Housed in an
aluminum extrusion, it sits in a straight, protective channel, and the
opaque lens covers the strip so you see a soft line of light instead of individual LEDs. Made of 6063-T5 aluminum, the profile can be installed both indoors and outdoors according to its spec sheet, and it can be painted to match your decor when you want it to blend into cabinetry, trim or walls.
Planning and installationThis SKU is the
8 ft standard length. For longer runs, the series is also offered in 16 ft lengths, and custom fabrication up to 192 inches is available. The ordering guide shows a standard mounting and three
end cap choices: no hole, with hole, or one of each, handy when the power wire exits at one end only. Before installing, measure the run, decide where the power supply will sit, clean the channel, then press the strip into the base and put the lens in place. Outdoors, pick an LED strip and connectors rated for the location, and have a licensed electrician handle the line-voltage connections.
Ideas for every roomIn the kitchen, run it under upper cabinets for
task lighting, or in the toe kick for a floating effect at night. In the bathroom, it outlines a vanity or a mirror niche; in the living room, it highlights floating shelves or a TV wall. Businesses use it in
retail shelving, bar backs, reception counters and display cases where the light must stay discreet. For other parts of the project, the range also includes the
