A compact profile for everyday projectsThe 84 series is designed for situations where space is limited, and its
compact form factor allows a wide range of uses:
under-cabinet lighting, shelf and bookcase lighting, closet lighting, display cases, cove accents and even baseboard or toe-kick lighting. In its 8-foot length and plain aluminum finish, it is the practical, versatile choice for most residential jobs and for small commercial fit-outs.
Materials and compatible stripsThe profile is made of
6063-T5 aluminum and is designed to accommodate and protect the majority of LED strips in its range, including a variety of white and coloured
RGB-RGBW strips. Housing the strip in a channel keeps it straight, protected from knocks and neatly finished, a big step up from tape stuck directly under a cabinet. The profile can be installed indoors and outdoors (outside, choose a strip rated for the location) and can be painted to match your décor.
Ordering options and installationThe ordering guide of the series lists colours (plain aluminum, black, white or custom),
lens options (opaque or black), standard mounting and
end caps without a hole, with a hole for the cable, or one of each. Standard lengths are 8 and 16 feet, and custom lengths are available up to 192 inches. Plan the cable exit and the location of the LED driver, test the strip before closing the channel, and leave line-voltage connections to a licensed electrician.
