Black housing, diffused lightThis version of the
aluminum profile #84 brings together two details that make a big difference: a
black aluminum housing that blends into dark wood, black cabinetry and charcoal walls, and an
opaque lens that hides the individual LEDs. Together they create a clean, continuous glow that looks designed rather than improvised, perfect wherever the fixture sits in plain view.
Designed for tight spacesThe 84 series is designed for situations where space is limited, and its
compact form factor permits a wide range of uses. Made of 6063-T5 aluminum, the profile accommodates and protects the majority of LED strips in its range, including white and coloured
RGB-RGBW strips, so it works for warm white accent lighting as well as colour-changing effects in a bar or a games room. It can be installed indoors and outdoors (outdoors, use a strip rated for the location) and it can be painted if your project calls for another colour.
Installation and ordering optionsThe series uses standard mounting, and its ordering guide lists
end caps without a hole, with a hole for the cable, or one of each, as well as colours (plain aluminum, black, white or custom) and lens choices (opaque or black). Standard lengths are 8 and 16 feet, and
custom lengths are available up to 192 inches. Plan the cable exit and the location of the LED driver, install and test the strip, then put the opaque lens in place; have a licensed electrician make any line-voltage connection.
