A compact recessed profile
The #13 is a compact recessed LED profile that makes the LED light source invisible. The edges on each side of this aluminum extrusion allow for a recessed installation, while its understated style gives it a discreet and neat appearance. Once installed in a groove, it creates a clean line of light integrated into the surface, ideal for millwork, cabinetry and furniture where the lighting should be felt rather than seen.
Light quality and heat management
Designed to give a uniform light without hot spots when used with an opal or prime lens, the profile turns a row of LED dots into a smooth, continuous glow. The ordering guide of the series lists several lenses (clear, spread, opal, prime and black), so you can adapt the look of the light to the project. The profile is made of 6063-T5 aluminum alloy, which increases heat dissipation; its use increases the lifetime of your LED strip, a real advantage in closed cabinets and furniture.
Installation
The profile is installed in a 19 mm (3/4-inch) groove, a dimension designed to meet North American woodworking standards, so cabinetmakers can machine the groove with their usual tooling. It is intended for LED strips 10 mm (3/8-inch) wide or less and is compatible with multiple installation accessories; the ordering guide lists a flat bracket and double-sided mounting tape, as well as embedded motion sensor options for the series. For power, follow the instructions of your LED strip and its driver, and have any line-voltage connection made by a licensed electrician.
