The thinnest profile of the rangeThe 84 series was designed for situations where space is limited. Its
compact form factor opens the door to a wide range of uses: under-cabinet lighting, shallow shelves, furniture, display cases, stair nosings and millwork details. Extruded from
6063-T5 aluminum, it gives your LED tape a straight, protective housing, and the spec sheet states that these
LED extrusions can be installed both indoors and outdoors.
A clean line of lightThis version combines a
black aluminum body with an
opaque lens. The lens covers the strip and hides the individual LEDs, so the eye sees a neat line of light rather than a row of dots. The black finish disappears against dark surfaces and adds a refined accent to lighter ones, and if your design calls for another colour, the aluminum can be painted to match your decor. The profile accommodates a variety of
white and coloured LED strips, including RGB and RGBW, so the same housing works for a warm, functional light over a counter or a colourful accent in a bar or games room.
Installation and ordering tipsThis SKU is the
8 ft standard length; the series is also available in 16 ft lengths, and custom fabrication up to 192 inches is possible for longer runs. The ordering guide lists a standard mounting as well as
end caps with or without a hole, so plan where the power wire will exit before you start. Clean and dry the inside of the channel, stick the LED strip centred in the base, route the wire through an end cap with a hole, then install the lens. For an outdoor installation, choose an LED strip and connections rated for the location, and follow the Canadian Electrical Code or hire a licensed electrician for the power supply side.
Projects that shineUse it under upper cabinets for comfortable
task lighting on the countertop, inside a walk-in closet to light up shelves and hanging rods, along a floating vanity, on the edge of a bar top, or inside retail display cases where a thin line of light makes products stand out. Because it is so thin, it is also a smart choice for
