Built for track, built to be movedThe ASTELLA
AST-TRH series is a family of H-type, single-circuit
track heads, and this model is the 10W black version. The adaptor pulls down on a connector lock, slides into the track slot and rotates a quarter turn (90°) to lock; the two-pin side carries the grounding pin and must face the track's two-line polarity side. Because removal is just as simple — depress the lock, turn 90°, lift out — you can rearrange a whole
LED track lighting run as a store display changes or as a renovation evolves, without touching a wire. The head then tilts and rotates on its yoke so you can aim each beam independently.
Light quality you can trustColour rendering is where this head separates itself: at
CRI 90+, reds stay red and whites stay clean, which matters enormously for clothing racks, bakery counters, paintings and makeup mirrors. The
5CCT selectable switch sits on the back of the head and steps through 2700K, 3000K, 3500K, 4000K and 5000K — five looks from one SKU, so a contractor can carry one box to site and tune each zone on the spot. The MF36 medium flood optic gives a soft-edged pool of light that overlaps nicely when heads are spaced along a rail, and
TRIAC dimming lets you drop the level for evening service or a quiet living room.

Installation and safetyShut off the power at the breaker or remove the fuse before working — a wall switch alone is not enough. The track itself installs by fastening the mount plate to the J-box, connecting black (hot), white (neutral) and green (ground), securing the channel with toggle bolts and closing everything with the canopy cover; heads are added afterward, with the power off. Keep the system in dry locations only, never in damp or wet areas, never less than 5 feet above the floor, and never closer than 6 inches to curtains or other combustible material. Don't power anything but track luminaires from the rail, and check with a qualified electrician before connecting a track to more than one branch circuit. The head runs hot in use — wait at least 5 minutes after switching off before touching it.
Applications, matching products and documentationThink retail perimeter walls, jewellery and eyewear displays, restaurant art and banquette accents, salon stations, gallery hangings, home kitchens, stairwell walls and condo living areas — anywhere a fixed
recessed light would be too rigid. Mix wattages on the same rail: 10W for close-range accents, then the
20W H-type black head or
35W H-type black head for taller ceilings. For a J-type rail, use the
10W J-type black head instead, and refine the beam with the
AST lens for 10W MS24. The full spec sheet and installation instructions for this model are in the Documentation tab.
