Built for real track systems
The ASTELLA series track head is a compact cylinder on an adjustable arm, designed exclusively for ceiling-mounted track in a single-circuit J-type configuration. The adapter uses a spring-loaded locking tab: you hold the tab with your thumb, line it up directly opposite the polarity line (the indentation in the channel), push the adapter into the rail and rotate it a quarter turn, 90° counter-clockwise. The arrows on the locking tab point to the polarity line when the head is correctly seated. Once locked, the head still tilts and rotates so you can re-aim the beam whenever a display moves or a painting changes wall.

With CRI90+ colour rendering, this LED track spot shows merchandise, artwork, wood grain and skin tones the way they really look — a big deal in clothing boutiques, salons, bakeries and galleries, where washed-out colour costs you sales. Installation and safety
Cut power at the breaker or remove the fuse before you work — flipping the wall switch is not enough. The rail itself mounts to the J-box with a mount plate: connect black to hot, white to neutral and green to ground, tuck the wires back into the box, mark and drill for the toggle bolts, set the track channel on the plate, tighten the toggle bolts and the two mount plate screws, install the connection terminal respecting the double-pin and single-pin direction, then cover the J-box with the canopy. Do not install the track in damp or wet locations, never less than 5 feet above the floor, and never closer than 6 inches to curtains or other combustible material. Only lighting track luminaires may be energized on the rail — no power tools, no extension cords, no appliances. The head runs hot when powered, so wait at least 5 minutes after shutting it off before touching it.

Applications, compatibility and documents
Think retail aisles and cash counters, restaurant banquettes, condo kitchens with an island, a home office over a work surface, a clinic waiting room, or a small gallery in a converted Montréal loft. Because the heads are interchangeable on the same rail, you can mix outputs along a run: the 10W J-type head in white for close-range accents, this 20W for general display work, and the 35W J-type head in white where ceilings are higher.
