Built for track, built to be aimed
The ASTELLA series track head is a cylinder-style LED spot on an adjustable yoke, fed by a J-type single-circuit adapter. The adapter has a spring-loaded locking tab: you hold it with your thumb, line the tab up directly opposite the polarity line (the indentation in the channel), push the adapter into the track and rotate it a quarter turn — 90° counter-clockwise — to lock and make contact. That is the whole mechanical story, and it is why track lighting heads remain the most flexible way to light a space that changes: move the head, re-aim it, add another one on the same run.

Light quality and colour selection
This is a 5CCT head, meaning five selectable colour temperatures. The colour-select switch is located on the back side of the track head, so an installer sets the look on site — warmer for wood, leather and hospitality, cooler for task areas and merchandise — and every head on the run can be matched in seconds. That single feature removes the classic jobsite headache of ordering the wrong kelvin and waiting on a swap. Installation and safety essentials
Cut power at the breaker or pull the fuse before you work — a wall switch alone is not enough. The track section itself starts at the junction box: the mount plate is attached to the J-box and wired black to hot, white to neutral, green to ground, the wires are tucked back in, the channel is positioned and marked, holes are drilled for toggle bolts, the channel is secured to the mount plate, the connection terminal is rotated to the correct double-pin and single-pin direction, and the canopy cover closes over the J-box with its canopy screw. Then the heads go on. Respect the safety rules on the instruction sheet: do not install a track system in damp or wet locations, never less than 5 feet above the floor, and never closer than 6 inches to curtains or similar combustible material. Do not energize anything other than track luminaires on the rail, and do not connect a track to more than one branch circuit unless it is built for it — ask a qualified electrician. The head runs hot in use: wait at least 5 minutes after cutting power before touching it.
