A track system built to be reconfiguredThe ASTELLA track by TUROLIGHT is an
H-type, single-circuit track designed around one idea: light should follow the room, not the other way around. The 2-foot black section gives you a compact, discreet run where a full-length rail would be overkill — above a peninsula, over a reading nook, along a narrow corridor of display shelving. The underside of the rail is smooth and the flat face mounts against the ceiling or wall, while the open, elongated side of the track face receives the lampholders. Adapters twist in with a 90° turn and release with a lever, so swapping a head, adding one or re-aiming the whole run takes minutes and no rewiring.

Electrical and installation detailsStart by shutting off the power at the main panel (fuse or breaker box) before installing the rail or any accessory. Position the track over the outlet box and mark the rail mounting holes on the ceiling or wall. In drywall or plaster, drill 5/8 fixing holes and secure the track with the supplied toggle bolts; on solid wood surfaces, use standard #10 wood screws (not supplied). Strip the supply conductors 3/8" and land them on the screw terminals of the live feed connector — no need to wrap the wire around the screw. Every connector must be slid into the open end of the rail with its set screws loosened first, then tightened. Because the track carries a
polarity line, align it with the polarity line of the lampholder or connector so the ground is maintained through every joint; if the wrong grounding tab has been removed from a connector, do not use it. Finally, slide a
dead-end cap into every open end and tighten the set screws before restoring power. Local installation requirements must always be respected, and only fixture assemblies marked for use with TUROLIGHT track should be installed on this rail.
Compatibility and accessoriesThis rail is part of the AST-TRK family, which includes the connectors and feeds you need to shape a run: live end feed, end connector, X (four-way) connector, L connector, T connector, straight connector, floating/flex connector and the mounting joiner — AST-TRK-H-LEC, AST-TRK-H-EC, AST-TRK-H-XC, AST-TRK-H-LC, AST-TRK-H-TC, AST-TRK-H-SC, AST-TRK-H-FC and AST-TRK-H-MJ. Sections join end to end, so you can start with this 2 ft piece and extend later with the
4 ft black track, the
6 ft black track, the
8 ft black track, or match a white ceiling with the
12 ft white track. Only
H-type single-circuit track heads and adapters belong on this system.
Where it earns its keep, and documentationHomeowners use short black track runs over kitchen islands, dining tables, stairwell art and basement bars; contractors like them for condo renovations where there's one existing outlet box and no appetite for cutting a dozen ceiling holes; retailers, cafés, salons and small galleries use them to wash a feature wall or spotlight a product table, then re-aim the heads when the display changes. With 120V, 60Hz, 20A on a single circuit, one short run can carry several low-draw LED heads while keeping the ceiling clean. The technical PDF (AST-TRK-H-02-BK Spec Sheet), including the full bilingual installation instructions, is available in the Documentation tab of this page — read it before you start, and keep it with the job file.
