What this connector doesThe AST-TRK-H-FC-BK is the
flexible connector of the TUROLIGHT ASTELLA Track System, an
H-type single circuit accessory that mechanically and electrically links two track sections while allowing the run to change direction. Where a straight joiner only continues a line and a fixed corner only gives you one angle, the flex connector lets the installer set the angle on site — useful when a ceiling breaks, when a bulkhead intrudes, or when a display wall meets at an odd angle. It is one of several connectors in the same family listed on the installation instructions (AST-TRK-H-LEC, AST-TRK-H-EC, AST-TRK-H-XC, AST-TRK-H-LC, AST-TRK-H-MJ, AST-TRK-H-TC, AST-TRK-H-SC and AST-TRK-H-FC), so you can plan a complete layout from one system.

Electrical and installation detailsAlways turn the power off at the main panel before installing track or accessories. Loosen the set screws on the connector before sliding it into the open end of the rail, and make sure the connector goes in fully and squarely. Polarity is the critical step on any
H-type track: the grounding tabs on the connectors have to be prepared before sliding onto the tab of the NON-GROUND conductor side of the track section being joined, and if the wrong tab was removed, the connector must be discarded rather than installed. Once all rails and connectors are in place, confirm that dead-end caps are slid into every open end of the track and that all set screws are tightened before energizing. Wiring at the feed end uses screw terminals with a 3/8" strip length, and there is no need to wrap the wire around the screw. Class I means the system relies on a proper ground, and the
IP20 rating confirms this is an indoor, dry-location product — not for exterior or wet areas.
Compatibility and system buildingThis connector is made for the AST-TRK H-type single circuit rails and for lampholders and adapters designed for that profile. To mount a head, align the polarity lines of the track with those of the lampholder, push the top of the mounting adapter with its contact tabs into the track slot and turn 90°; if it does not turn easily, turn the other way instead of forcing it, and to remove press the release lever and turn 90°. To reduce the risk of fire and electric shock, use only fixture assemblies marked for use with
TUROLIGHT® track. Build your run with the black rails —
AST Track 2 ft,
AST Track 4 ft and
AST Track 6 ft — or mix with white sections such as the
AST Track 8 ft H type white when the ceiling colour changes.
Applications and documentationThink of a boutique where the track has to follow an angled storefront, a gallery hallway that bends, a café with a sloped bulkhead over the bar, or a renovated basement where the beam forces the run off axis. In all those cases one
flexible connector saves a second feed and keeps the lighting on a single continuous circuit. Contractors also appreciate that the same accessory works for residential and commercial projects, so one system covers the condo living room and the retail showroom. The installation instruction sheet for the ASTELLA H-type single circuit system, covering the AST-TRK models and this connector, is available in the Documentation tab of this page — download it before you drill, and keep it on hand for the polarity and grounding steps.
