24V 8M IP20 3528 WHITE LED STRIP - 120 LEDS/M (STRIP ONLY)

24V 8M IP20 3528 WHITE LED STRIP - 120 LEDS/M (STRIP ONLY)

SKU: 8M3528-3000

Brand: LED MONTREAL

Soft, continuous light exactly where you want it: that is what a good LED strip does best, and this 8-metre roll is built to deliver it. Known as LED strip lights, LED light strips, LED tape or ribbon lighting, this CDNLUX 24V 3528 white strip (SKU 8M3528-3000) is the go-to solution for under-cabinet lighting, toe-kick and stair accents, cove and crown-moulding lighting, closets, bookcases, display cases, bar backs and hidden ceiling coves. It is sold as strip only, so designers, cabinetmakers, contractors and hands-on homeowners can pair it with the driver, dimmer and aluminum channel their project really calls for. With 120 LEDs per meter, the light reads as a smooth line rather than a row of dots — exactly what you want for indoor LED lighting that should be felt, not stared at.

Under the 8mm-wide, 2mm-thin circuit board you get an Epistar 3528 SMD chip layout on a 2-ounce copper board, 120 LEDs per meter across 8 meters, drawing 9.6W per meter at 24V DC with a recommended power supply of 12W/m. Typical output is 800 lumens per meter in a 3000K warm white with a CRI of 80+, spread over a 120° beam angle for even, flattering coverage. It is cULus certified for Canada and the USA (E498952), rated iP20 for indoor use only, rated for 50 000+ hours, and it operates from 40C to -10C. The strip can be cut every 6 LEDs (50mm) to fit your run, sticks down with 3M self-adhesive backing, and arrives with a female DC plug (17cm) on one end and 2 wires (17cm) on the other. It is dimmable with a low voltage dimmer/remote combo or with a dimmable power supply paired with a 120V AC dimmer.

This is the strip that quietly upgrades a kitchen renovation, a basement bar, a home office shelf, a hotel corridor cove, a retail display or a cabinetmaker's custom millwork. Because it runs on 24V DC, voltage drop over long runs is far less of a worry than with 12V — handy in Canadian homes and shops where a single 8m roll often covers a whole wall of cabinets or a full staircase. Heat dissipation is not necessary unless you are installing in a commercial environment, where an aluminum profile is the smart move. Consult the technical PDF in the Documentation tab for the full details, then plan your LED strip lighting layout and order the length you need.

Built for clean, professional installs
This CDNLUX strip (model MTL-FP8AEIDJ-120AXX) is engineered around a 2-ounce copper circuit board, a heavier-than-average base that helps carry current evenly across a long 8-metre run. The strip measures just 8mm wide and 2mm high, so it disappears inside a cabinet valance, a stair nosing, a shadow gap or a slim aluminum channel. The 3M self-adhesive backing holds well on clean, dry, degreased surfaces, and the strip can be cut every 6 LEDs (50mm) with scissors at the marked pads, which means you can trim a run to the exact width of a countertop or shelf without wasting the rest of the roll.

Light quality you can live with
With 120 LEDs per meter, the Epistar 3528 SMD chips sit close enough together that the light looks like a line, not a string of dots — especially behind a diffuser. Typical output is 800 lumens per meter, which is the sweet spot for accent and task work: bright enough to actually chop vegetables under a cabinet, soft enough to glow in a cove. The 3000K warm white tone flatters wood, brass and warm paint colours, and the 80+ CRI keeps skin tones and finishes looking natural. The 120° lighting angle spreads light wide and short, so you get even coverage rather than hot spots.

Electrical, dimming and installation notes
Sizing the driver is simple: the strip draws 9.6W per meter and a power supply of 12W/m is recommended, so calculate the total metres you actually install and choose a 24V DC supply with that headroom. Connections are included — a female DC plug (17cm) on one end and 2 wires (17cm) on the other — so the roll can plug straight into a matching 24V driver or be hard-wired into a junction box by a qualified electrician. For dimming, you have two proven routes: a low voltage dimmer/remote combo installed on the DC side, or a dimmable power supply controlled by a standard 120V AC dimmer. Heat dissipation is not necessary for typical residential use; in a commercial environment, mount the LED tape in an aluminum profile to help it run cool and last. Because the strip is iP20, keep it indoors and out of direct contact with water — no showers, no soffits, no outdoor patios.

Where it earns its keep, and what to read
Cabinetmakers use this 24V LED strip for under-cabinet and in-cabinet lighting, lit display shelves, closet organizers and integrated vanity lighting; designers use it for cove lighting, crown moulding uplight, headboard glow and floating-stair accents; contractors and small businesses run it behind reception desks, under bar counters, in retail display cases and along hotel or office corridors. The cULus E498952 listing for Canada and the USA makes it easy to specify on projects on both sides of the border, and the 50 000+ hour rating means fewer callbacks once the millwork is closed up. Full values — density, cut points, wiring, dimming options and iP20 environment limits — are in the technical PDF available in the Documentation tab; give it a quick read before you cut, and your indoor LED strip lighting install will go smoothly the first time.
