Four colours in one chip
What sets this reel apart from a standard colour strip is the chip itself. Each Epistar 5050 RGB+W SMD 4-in-1 diode holds Red, Green, Blue and a dedicated White emitter side by side. A standard RGB strip has to blend red, green and blue to fake white, which almost always drifts blue or purple. Here, the white comes from its own emitter at 4000K natural white, so your kitchen, office or display looks crisp and neutral, and the RGB channels stay free for colour scenes. With 60 LEDs per meter over 5 meters — 300 chips in total — the light output stays smooth from end to end, no matter which colour you select.
Build quality and light
The flexible board measures 12mm wide and 2mm high and uses a 2-ounce copper circuit board, which helps carry current and move heat away from the diodes. Typical output is 400 lumens per meter with a 120° lighting angle, so light spreads evenly across a cove, a shelf or a soffit rather than throwing hot spots. A CRI of 80+ keeps wood tones, skin tones and merchandise looking natural under the white channel. Rated life is 50 000+ hours, and the cULus certification (E498952) for Canada and the USA is exactly what inspectors and commercial clients want to see on a job.

Wiring, dimming and installation
This is the strip only, so plan the rest of the system: a 24V DC power supply sized on the recommended 18W/m, and an RGB+W controller/remote combo, which is what makes the strip dimmable and lets you switch between colour scenes and white. Five wires are pre-attached at each end (17cm), which simplifies feeding power from either side or continuing a run. Cut only on the marked points, every 6 LEDs (100mm). Clean and dry the surface before pressing down the 3M self-adhesive backing, and remember the rule that protects your investment: the strip must sit on a heat-dissipating surface or inside an appropriate aluminum channel. A channel with a diffuser also hides the individual dots for a continuous line of light. With an iP20 rating, keep it indoors and away from damp locations.
Where it works and documentation
Think coffered and tray ceilings, cove lighting above crown moulding, under kitchen cabinets, toe-kicks, bar fronts and back bars, retail shelving and display cases, salon and gym accent walls, basement home theatres, gaming rooms and stair nosings. Commercial clients use colour to match seasons or branding, then flip to 4000K natural white for cleaning and daytime operation.
