Construction you can trust outdoors
This outdoor LED strip is built for real conditions, not just showroom shelves. The flexible circuit board uses 2 ounces of copper, which helps the strip handle current and heat more gracefully over long runs, and the whole assembly is sealed to an IP67 rating so humidity, dust and splashing are not a problem. It is rated for dry and humid environments, indoor and protected outdoor use, with an operating temperature range of 40C to -10C — useful when a covered terrace or soffit run has to survive a Canadian shoulder season. Heat dissipation hardware is not necessary, unless the strip is used in a commercial environment.
Light quality
Density is what separates a good LED tape light from a disappointing one. With 60 LEDs per meter on Epistar 3528 SMD chips, the light reads as a continuous line rather than a string of dots, especially when it is tucked into a cove or channel. Typical output is 400 lumens per meter, the colour temperature is 4000K Natural White — a crisp, neutral tone that flatters wood, stone and painted surfaces without going blue — and the CRI of 80+ keeps colours honest. The 120° lighting angle washes surfaces broadly, which is exactly what you want for grazing a wall, lighting a ceiling cove or backlighting signage.

Electrical and installation details
The 24V DC platform is the reason you can run the full 10 meters in one continuous line while keeping brightness even from the first LED to the last. Size your driver from the recommended 6W per meter, not from the 4.8W/m consumption, so the supply is never working at its ceiling. One end of the strip comes with a female DC plug (17 cm) and the other with two wires (17 cm), so you can plug into a matching supply or hard-wire as the job requires. Cuts are made every 6 LEDs (100 mm) at the marked points, and the 3M self-adhesive back holds on clean, dry, degreased surfaces — for rough wood, brick or overhead runs, add mechanical clips. For dimming, use a low-voltage dimmer/remote combo on the DC side, or a dimmable power supply controlled by a 120V AC dimmer on the line side.
Applications and documentation
Think gazebo rafters, pergola beams, awning valances, covered patios, soffit and cove details, stair nosings, garden walls, bar fronts, retail shelving and illuminated storefront signage — residential and commercial projects alike. At 10 mm wide and 5 mm high, the strip hides inside slim aluminum channels or behind a simple trim board. It is not suggested for pool lighting or any submerged application. The full technical spec sheet for this model is available in the Documentation tab of this page, so you can confirm dimensions, load and certification before you order your power supply and accessories.
