Built for high-density, dot-free-looking accent light
This 25-meter spool packs 300 LEDs per meter of Epistar 2216 SMD chips onto a flexible 10 mm wide board that stands only 1.2 mm tall. That density is what separates a premium LED strip lighting installation from a cheap-looking one: the closer the emitters sit to each other, the smoother the line of light reads along a cove, a shelf or a stair. The circuit board uses 2 ounces of copper, which helps carry current and move heat away from the diodes over long runs. A factory-applied 3M self-adhesive back makes dry-fit and permanent mounting straightforward on clean, smooth surfaces.
Light quality you can trust on finishes
The single-colour output is a warm 3000K white, the temperature most Canadian homeowners choose for living rooms, kitchens and hospitality spaces because it feels like incandescent light. With a CRI 90+ rating, reds, wood grains, textiles and skin tones stay natural instead of washing out — a real advantage in retail displays, bathrooms and food areas. Typical output is 1450 lumens per meter and will vary slightly depending on the Kelvin chosen in the family, and the 120° lighting angle spreads the beam wide enough to wash a surface evenly from a shallow channel.

Electrical, dimming and installation
Plan your layout before you cut. The strip draws 17W/m and the recommended power supply capacity is 19.2W/m, so size your 24V DC driver against the total metres you are feeding. The supplier advises not to run the spool as one continuous section: keep each run to approximately 5 meters maximum and feed it from the source, which protects brightness uniformity and keeps your installation compliant. Cut only on the marked lines every 6 LEDs, then solder or use a compatible connector — connections are not included with this bulk format. Dimming works two ways: a low-voltage dimmer/remote combo on the DC side, or a dimmable power supply controlled by a 120V AC dimmer. Heat management is not optional: the strip must be installed on a heat-dissipating surface or inside an appropriate aluminum channel, which also gives you a finished edge and a diffused, lens-covered look.
Where it works and what to know
Think coves and tray ceilings, under-cabinet and toe-kick lighting in kitchens, backlit bathroom mirrors, closets, pantries, display cabinets, reception desks, restaurant bars, gym mirrors and office feature walls. Because it is IP20, keep it strictly indoors and away from splash zones — no showers, no exteriors, no unheated damp spaces. Note that the 2216 300 LED/m version has been discontinued and replaced by the new SOB 2216 320 LED/m model, which offers shorter cut lines and a seamless, dot-free output, with some colours now available only in that new version.
