Built for smooth, even colour
This RGB LED strip is built on a 2-ounce copper circuit board, which helps carry current over a long 10-meter run and keeps the tape stable in service. The Epistar 5050 RGB SMD chips are spaced at 30 LEDs per meter and throw a 120° beam, so light spreads wide and blends quickly — ideal in a cove, a coffer or an aluminum channel where you don't want to see individual dots. Keep in mind that an RGB chip mixes red, green and blue: it creates a huge palette of colours, but it does not produce a true white the way a dedicated white strip does.

Electrical and installation details
The strip is a 24V DC low-voltage product, so it must be fed by a 24V DC driver — never wired straight to line voltage. Size the supply using the recommended 9 W/m figure and the total length you install, then add an RGB controller between the driver and the tape. Connections are already taken care of at the factory: a 4-pin male connector on a 17 cm lead sits at one end and a 4-pin female connector on a 17 cm lead at the other, which makes joining sections or reaching a controller much simpler. Respect polarity and the R, G, B channel order when you connect. If you need a shorter run, cut only on the marked points — every 6 LEDs, or 165.5 mm — and keep the offcut for a small accent job.
Mounting, environment and heat
The 3M self-adhesive backing sticks to clean, dry, smooth surfaces; degrease the substrate first and press firmly along the whole run for best hold. On rough, painted or porous surfaces, or wherever you want a finished look and a straight line, run the tape inside an aluminum profile with a diffuser. At 12 mm wide and 4.25 mm high, it slips into most standard channels. The iP65+ rating means it suits dry and humid environments, indoor and protected outdoor use, with an operating range of 40C to -10C. Heat dissipation is not necessary unless the strip is used in a commercial environment, where an aluminum extrusion is the simple way to manage it.
Where it works and what's available
Think under-cabinet and toe-kick lighting in a kitchen, a colour-changing ceiling cove in a basement theatre, accent light behind a TV wall or headboard, stair nosings, a home bar front, retail display cases, reception desks, restaurant and lounge feature walls, plus boat and RV interiors. Because it's sold as strip only, plan your 24V power supply, RGB controller and any extension leads with it. The technical PDF (24V 150 LED CUL SUPER BRIGHT RGB LED STRIP (STRIP ONLY)) is in the Documentation tab with the full spec table, cut points and connector details — handy when you're quoting a job or laying out runs on a plan.
