Black, recessed, made for dark finishes
The 86 series is designed for recessed installation and to make the light source invisible. In black, reference LCPROF-86-8FT-BK matches the finishes where a bright aluminum edge would stand out: black or espresso cabinets, dark-stained oak, walnut veneer, black melamine shelving and charcoal wall panels. The edge stays discreet, and this black LED profile lets the eye focus on the line of light. It is just as useful in commercial fixtures, where dark finishes are common in bars, restaurants and boutiques.

Material and strip choice
The extrusion is made of 6063-T5 aluminum, can be installed both indoors and outdoors, and can be painted to match your decor. It accommodates and protects the majority of LED strips of the range: a warm white LED strip sets off dark wood in a living room or a bar, a neutral white one lights a black kitchen counter, and an RGB or RGBW strip adds colour to a media wall or a games room.

Installation in cabinetry
Recessed installation means routing a groove or making a cut-out in the material: wood, melamine, drywall or a wall panel. Check the technical drawing for exact dimensions before cutting, test-fit the profile, then lay in the strip. Route the wires through the cabinet, hide the LED driver in a cavity or a cabinet, and have any line-voltage connection made by a licensed electrician. For exact sizes, custom fabrication is available up to 192 inches, and the series also comes in 4 and 16 ft.
