Design that disappears
A black LED channel is the detail that makes lighting look integrated rather than added on. Against black cabinets, dark stained wood, charcoal walls or matte-black metal, the #14 in black practically vanishes, leaving only the glow. Behind this discreet look is a genuinely versatile aluminum profile: the 14 series offers even lighting, allows beam adjustment and provides a considerably larger choice of installation options, from fixed to suspended mounting.
Light quality and heat management
With an opal or prime lens, the #14 is designed to give a uniform light without hot spots, so the dots of the LED strip merge into a smooth line. The ordering guide of the series also lists clear, black, focus and square 3D opal lenses; the black lens pairs naturally with the black profile for a monochrome look. The profile is made of 6063-T5 aluminum alloy, which increases heat dissipation, and its use increases the lifetime of your LED strip.
Installation and accessories
The support rail offers the largest range of installation and assembly, and the profile is compatible with multiple installation accessories (over 40 options). The ordering guide lists a flat bracket, a 45° corner bracket and a swivel bracket 180°, so the light can be mounted flat, set in a corner or aimed toward a backsplash or a display. The #14 is intended for LED strips 10 mm (3/8-inch) wide or less and designed to meet North American woodworking standards. Follow the instructions of your LED strip and its driver, and have any line-voltage connection made by a licensed electrician.
