What this connector does
The AST-TRK-H-TC-WH is a three-way T connector for the TUROLIGHT ASTELLA H-type single-circuit track system. Where a straight coupler joins two rails end to end and an L connector turns a corner, the T connector feeds three track sections from one junction point, letting you run a main line down a room and branch off toward an island, an alcove or a display wall. The white finish matches white ASTELLA rails so the joint disappears against the ceiling instead of drawing the eye.

Installation, step by step
Always switch off power at the main panel before installing track or accessories. The rail itself is positioned over the outlet box, the mounting holes are marked on the ceiling or wall, and the track is secured with toggle bolts (supplied with the track) in drywall or plaster using 5/8 holes, or with standard #10 wood screws (not supplied) into solid wood. Before sliding the T connector into place, loosen the set screws on the connector, then select the correct grounding tab: to maintain circuit polarity, the ground tabs must be prepared before sliding the connector onto the non-ground conductor side of the track section being joined. If the wrong tab has been removed, do not use the connector, because grounding will not be maintained. Slide it fully into the open end of the rail, align with the polarity line, tighten the set screws, and only then restore power. Local installation requirements must be respected.

Finishing the run and adding fixtures
To reduce the risk of fire, once all rails and connectors are correctly installed, make sure a dead-end fitting has been slid into every open end of the track and the set screws tightened before energizing. Lampholders install just as easily: align the polarity lines of the track and the lampholder, push the top of the mounting adapter — the side with the contact tabs — into the track slot and turn 90°. If the adapter does not turn freely, don't force it; turn the other way. To remove a head, press the release lever with your index finger and turn 90°. Wire connections at the live end are simple screw terminals with a 3/8" strip length; there is no need to wrap the wire around the screw. For fire and shock safety, use only fixture assemblies marked for use with TUROLIGHT track.
