The Astella (AST) track rail is extruded from 6063 aluminum alloy with a consistent 1/32" wall thickness — that uniformity is what keeps a 4 ft section perfectly straight and lets joints close up cleanly instead of showing a step or a gap. The profile is intentionally slim, 1 3/8" wide by 11/16" high, so on a white ceiling the rail almost disappears and the eye goes to the fixtures and to what they're lighting. The internal housing is a high-performance PC that is fire-safe, heat-stable and halogen-free; it holds its geometry through years of thermal cycling without yellowing or becoming brittle, which matters in rooms where heads run long hours. Even light from end to end
Inside the extrusion, 12-gauge flat copper conductor wiring carries current with consistent conductivity across any run length. Installation and compatibility
The rail mounts to the ceiling and is fed on a standard 120 V branch circuit; a licensed electrician should make the supply connection in accordance with the Canadian Electrical Code and local requirements. Astella is a connector-based framework, and the family includes a Live End Connector (LEC), Flexible Connector (FC), Straight Connector (SC), L Connector (LC), T Connector (TC), X Connector (XC), Mini Joiner (MJ), Floating Canopy (FCNP), End Cup (EC) and a pendant adaptor — so a single 4 ft section can become an L over a counter, a T down a corridor or a continuous straight run.
