Electrical and installation details
Always start by shutting off the main supply at the panel before touching track or accessories. Before sliding any connector into the track, loosen the set screws; the instructions insist on this for every connector type. The dead-end cap then slides into the open end of the track and is locked with its set screw. The same sheet reminds installers of the polarity rule for the system: the grounding tabs on connectors must be prepared before sliding onto the NON-GROUND conductor-side tab of the track section being joined, and a connector whose wrong tab has been removed must not be used, because grounding would no longer be maintained. Local installation requirements must be respected, and to reduce the risk of fire, every open end of the completed run must receive a dead-end fitting with its set screw tightened before power is restored.

Compatibility across the ASTELLA family
This cap is dedicated to the H-type single circuit track — it is not a universal part, and the safety notice is explicit that only fixture assemblies marked for use with this track should be installed on it. Use it to terminate runs assembled from the AST Track 2 ft black, AST Track 4 ft black and AST Track 6 ft black sections, or from the white family including the AST Track 12 ft white when a longer run is planned. Heads are mounted by aligning the polarity lines of the track and the lampholder, pushing the top of the adapter with its contact tabs into the track slot and turning 90°; if it does not turn easily, turn the other way rather than forcing it, and press the release lever to remove.
