What this connector actually does
An L connector is a corner joiner: it takes the end of one track section and links it to the start of another at 90°, carrying the circuit through the turn so both legs are powered from a single feed. In the ASTELLA ordering family (AST-TRK-H-LEC, AST-TRK-H-EC, AST-TRK-H-XC, AST-TRK-H-LC, AST-TRK-H-MJ, AST-TRK-H-TC, AST-TRK-H-SC, AST-TRK-H-FC), the LC suffix is the L connector, and this version is finished in white to match the white track. Without it, you either stop the run at the corner and start a second circuit, or you live with a dark gap — neither looks good over a kitchen peninsula or along a retail wall.

Installation and electrical details
Always shut the power off at the main panel before installing track or accessories. Loosen the set screws on the connector before sliding it into the open end of the track — forcing it in is how tabs get damaged. Polarity matters: the ground tabs on the connector must be prepared before sliding onto the NON-GROUND conductor-side tab of the section you are joining, and if the wrong tab has been removed, the connector must not be used because grounding will no longer be maintained. Feed wires are cut, stripped to 3/8" and secured directly to the screw terminals; there is no need to wrap the wire around the screw. Once every section and connector is in place, make sure a dead-end cap is slid into ALL open ends of the track and that the set screws are tight before energizing. Track is mounted to the ceiling or wall with toggle bolts on drywall or plaster (5/8" holes) or with standard #10 wood screws on wood surfaces, with the flat underside of the track facing the mounting surface.

Compatibility and heads
This connector works only within the H-type single-circuit ASTELLA family — it is not a universal part, so keep the whole run in H-type 1-circuit. White connectors pair visually with the white sections: AST track 4 ft H type 1 circuit 120V white and AST track 12 ft H type 1 circuit 120V white are the usual building blocks for long runs, while the 2 ft and 6 ft sections handle tighter layouts. Lampholders attach by aligning the polarity lines of the track and the adapter, pushing the top of the adapter into the track slot and turning 90°; if it does not turn easily, turn the other way instead of forcing. To remove a head, press the release lever and turn 90°. Only fixture assemblies marked for use with TUROLIGHT track should be installed, and local electrical requirements must be respected.
