Built for long, clean runsThe ASTELLA
track rail is an extruded channel with a plain underside that faces the ceiling or wall and an open, elongated face that accepts lampholders and connectors. The white finish keeps a 12-foot line discreet against a painted ceiling or drywall bulkhead, while the continuous slot lets you position heads anywhere along the length instead of being locked to fixed boxes. Because this is a single 12 ft section, a large room can often be covered with one piece: fewer joints to align, fewer connectors to buy, a straighter visual line overhead.

Electrical and installation detailsAlways switch off power at the main panel before installing the track or any accessory. Place the rail over the outlet box and mark the mounting hole positions on the ceiling or wall. In drywall or plaster, drill 5/8 holes and secure the track with the toggle bolts supplied; on wood surfaces, use standard #10 wood screws (not supplied). Strip the box wires 3/8" and land them on the screw terminals inside the connector or live end feed — there is no need to wrap the wire around the screw. Loosen the set screws on every connector before sliding it into the open end of the rail, and select the correct grounding tab so circuit polarity is maintained: the ground tabs must be prepared before sliding onto the NON-GROUND conductor-side tab of the section you are joining. If the wrong tab has been removed, do not use that connector, because grounding will not be maintained. To reduce the risk of fire, once all rails and connectors are installed, make sure a dead-end cap is slid into every open end and the set screws are tightened before energizing. Local installation requirements must always be respected.
Fitting the headsTo mount a lampholder, align the polarity line on the track with the polarity line on the head, push the top of the mounting adapter (the side with the contact tabs) into the track slot and turn it 90°. If the adapter does not turn easily, do not force it — turn the other way. To remove a head, press the release lever with your index finger and turn 90°. Only fixture assemblies marked for use with TUROLIGHT track should be installed. The ASTELLA family also includes the matching connector and feed components listed in the installation sheet — AST-TRK-H-LEC, AST-TRK-H-EC, AST-TRK-H-XC, AST-TRK-H-LC, AST-TRK-H-MJ, AST-TRK-H-TC, AST-TRK-H-SC and AST-TRK-H-FC — so straight joins, L, T, X and flexible layouts can all be built from the same system.
Applications, matching lengths and documentationTwelve feet is the length you reach for in a retail aisle, a showroom, a long gallery corridor, a restaurant dining row, a loft living space or a workshop bench wall where you want even, aimable light end to end. Because the run is IP20 and Class I, it belongs in dry indoor spaces — living rooms, kitchens, offices, boutiques and clinics — rather than outdoors or in wet areas. Mix lengths to match your layout with the
AST Track 8 ft H type white, the
AST Track 6 ft H type white or the
AST Track 4 ft H type white, or switch to the
AST Track 8 ft H type black for a darker ceiling. The full installation instructions and product data are in the technical PDF (AST-TRK-H-12-WH Spec Sheet) in the Documentation tab — worth printing before you head up the ladder.
