A single-circuit H-type track built for long, clean runsThe ASTELLA track system from TUROLIGHT uses the familiar
H-type track profile: an extruded channel with copper conductors seated inside and an open end that accepts connectors and feeds. This 8 ft white section is a
1-circuit track rail, meaning every head you mount on it switches together — the simplest and most common configuration for homes and small commercial rooms. The flat underside of the rail faces the ceiling or wall during mounting, and the open, elongated side of the track face stays exposed to accept lampholders and
track lighting heads. Because it's a one-way system (P + N + PE), grounding is carried right through the rail and its connectors.

Installation, step by stepStart by shutting off power at the main source (the panel or fuse box) before installing any track or accessory. Place the rail over the outlet box and mark the rail's mounting hole positions on the ceiling or wall. On drywall or plaster, drill 5/8 holes and secure the track with the toggle bolts supplied; on wood surfaces, use standard #10 wood screws (not supplied). Then install the lampholders and the power feed: cut and strip the box wires — 3/8 of stripping — and fasten them to the screw terminals in the live connector or end feed; there's no need to wrap the wire around the screw. Finally, restore power. Loosen the set screws on any connector before sliding it into the open end of the rail, and tighten them afterward.
Polarity, joints and fire-safety detailsWhen joining sections, the ground tabs on the connectors must be prepared before sliding onto the NON-GROUND conductor-side tab of the track section you're joining, so circuit
polarity is maintained; if the wrong tab has been removed, do not use that connector, because grounding will not be maintained. Some connector tabs show copper on both sides and others copper on one face only — cut before insertion as shown in the instructions and respect the insertion direction. To reduce the risk of fire, once all rails and connectors are correctly installed, make sure a dead-end fitting is slid into
every open end of the track and the set screws are tightened before energizing. And to reduce the risk of fire and electric shock, use only fixture assemblies marked for use with TUROLIGHT track.
Where it works, and what it pairs withAn 8 ft run is a sweet spot: long enough to light a kitchen peninsula, a gallery wall, a retail display bay, a reception desk or a boutique's back wall, short enough to handle alone on a ladder. Combine it with shorter sections to fit an exact wall length or to turn a corner with the system's connectors — the white
AST track 2 ft H type,
AST track 6 ft H type and
AST track 12 ft H type all share the same H-type single-circuit profile, and black versions such as the
AST track 8 ft H type black let you match a darker ceiling. The installation instructions and full details are in the technical PDF (AST-TRK-H-08-WH Spec Sheet) available in the Documentation tab — worth printing before you climb up.
