Five LEDs in one chip
The heart of this LED strip light is the Epistar 5050 RGB+W CCT SMD 5 in 1 chip. Instead of forcing three colour channels to fake a white, each package holds Red, Green, Blue, a 2400K warm white and a 6500K cool white emitter. That means saturated colours when you want drama, and a genuine, tunable white when you want function — anywhere between a candle-like 2400K and a crisp 6500K. Those five channels sit on a 2 ounce copper circuit board, a heavier base than thin economy tapes, which helps pull heat away from the diodes and keeps brightness and colour consistent over a long run.
Light quality and output
With 60 LEDs per meter and a 120° lighting angle, the light blends quickly, so you get a continuous line rather than visible dots — especially behind a frosted diffuser. Typical luminous flux is 400 lumens per meter (it will vary slightly depending on the Kelvin degrees chosen), and the CRI of 80+ keeps wood grain, paint, skin tones and food looking natural. Rated for 50 000+ hours, this LED tape is built to stay in the cove long after the renovation dust has settled.

Wiring, dimming and installation
This is a low voltage 24V DC product, so it needs a driver: size your power supply on the recommended 18W/m and on the exact length you are running. The strip ships with 6 wires (17cm) on one end and 6 wires (17cm) on the other end — five channels plus common — which makes it easy to feed from either side or to jump to a second section. Dimming and colour changing are done with a low voltage controller/remote combo built for RGB+CCT (5 channel) strips; a standard wall dimmer on the line side is not how this one is controlled. Cut only on the marked points, every 6 LEDs (50mm), and remember the 3M self-adhesive backing is a positioning aid, not a heat sink: the strip must be installed on a heat dissipating surface or in an appropriate aluminum channel. With an iP65+ rating it is suitable for dry and humid environment, indoor and protected outdoor use, and it operates from 40C to -10C — useful on a covered Canadian porch or in a damp basement.
Where it works and what's included
Think under-cabinet kitchen LED strip lighting, cove and tray ceilings, toe-kicks, floating shelves, closets, home theatres, basement bars, gaming rooms and bedrooms for kids who want a different colour every week. On the commercial side: retail shelving and display cases, reception desks, restaurant bars, salons, gyms and hotel corridors where staff can warm the whites in the evening and cool them during the day. Note that this listing is the strip only — no driver, controller or profile included.
