What this part isThis is the solid finishing end cap for
3X6 flexible LED neon, supplied as a single unit. It closes the terminated end of a cut run of neon flex rope, hiding the exposed silicone and the LED board edge behind a clean, matched profile. Because it has no hole, it is meant for the "dead" end of the run — the end opposite the power feed. If your cap needs to pass a power lead or a connector through it, that is a different part, and you will find it as the
Flex neon endcap 3x6 with hole.
Build and fitThe cap is moulded to match the cross-section of common
3X6 neon flex profile, so it slides over the end and seats flush against the body rather than standing proud. That flush fit matters more than people expect: on a lit cove or a sign return, a mismatched cap casts a shadow line or leaves a gap that collects dust. Check your rope's profile dimensions before ordering — neon flex comes in several sections, and a 6x6 body needs the
Flex neon endcap 6x6 without hole instead. Side-emitting and top-emitting profiles have their own shapes too, covered by the
Flex neon endcap side view without hole and the
Flex neon endcap top view without hole.
Installation, step by stepCut your
LED neon flex only at the marked cutting points — cutting between them kills the segment. Wipe the cut end clean and let it dry completely; silicone will not bond to dust, oil or moisture. Apply a bead of compatible silicone adhesive inside the cap, then press it firmly onto the end so the adhesive squeezes out evenly around the perimeter. Wipe the excess, then let it cure fully before energizing the run or exposing it to humidity. For damp locations, exterior soffits, signage or anywhere splash is possible, make sure the seal is continuous all the way around the edge — a single gap is all water needs.
Electrical notesThere is nothing electrical here, and that is the point. No polarity, no voltage rating to match, no impact on your driver sizing, no effect on dimming behaviour. The cap does not carry current and does not change the performance of the neon flex it closes. Your driver, controller and dimming choices are dictated entirely by the rope itself, not by this accessory.
Where it gets usedThink of every place a run of neon flex terminates in plain sight: the return of a channel letter or a backlit logo, the end of a cove in a condo living room, the last few inches under a kitchen upper cabinet, a stair nosing on a staircase, the underside of a bar top or a reception desk, a perimeter line in a garage or a home gym. In each of those, the cap is the difference between "looks custom" and "looks unfinished." Keep a handful on hand: most installs need one per cut section, and running short mid-job means either an ugly improvised seal or a second trip. Order SKU
