What this end cap actually doesA run of
LED neon flex is almost always cut to length on site, and that cut leaves an open, exposed extremity: raw silicone or PVC, visible LED board, and a solder point that needs protection. This end cap is the finishing piece that closes that opening. The version with a hole is intended for the supply side of the run, where the power lead has to exit the profile — the wire feeds through the opening while the rest of the end stays sealed. The result is a termination that looks deliberate instead of improvised, and a connection that is shielded from dust, moisture and accidental tugs.

Fit and compatibilityEnd caps are sized to match the profile of the
neon flex they are used with, so the single most important check before you buy is the profile of your rope. This one is the 6X6 shape. If your run uses a different cross-section or a different viewing direction, the accessory range covers it: the
flex neon end cap 3X6 without hole and the
flex neon end cap side view handle other profiles, while the
flex neon end cap top view suits top-emitting rope. A typical run needs two caps: one drilled cap at the feed end and one solid cap at the far end. Using the correct cap is what keeps a run properly sealed and mechanically sound — a mismatched cap will never bond well, and a poorly bonded cap is the first thing to fail on an exterior sign.
Installation, step by stepCut the
flexible LED neon rope light only at the marked cut points — cutting anywhere else kills the segment. Wipe the end clean and dry so the adhesive can grip. Apply a suitable silicone or PVC adhesive inside the cap, slide the power wire through the hole, then press the cap firmly onto the profile until it seats flat against the end. Wipe away the excess, and let the adhesive cure fully before powering the run up; rushing this step traps solvent and weakens the bond. For outdoor or damp installations, be generous with adhesive around the wire opening so the sealed joint stays watertight, and support the cable so its weight never hangs on the cap itself.

channel letters and custom
LED neon signs go through these caps by the handful — every letter, every logo stroke, every exposed return needs a sealed end. Beyond signage, they finish cove and perimeter lighting in bars and restaurants, wayfinding and display accents in retail, motivational lettering in gyms, feature walls in offices, and home theatre or games-room lighting. Anywhere a length of
LED neon stops in plain view — above a bar, along a soffit, around a mirror, under a counter — a proper cap is the difference between a finished installation and a visible cut. Keep a few spares in the truck or the shop drawer; on a long install, the caps are always the part you run out of first.
