People call it a pot light, a 3 inch recessed light, a square gimbal trim or simply an adjustable LED downlight — whatever you call it, the tilting gimbal head swivels inside the square trim so you can wash a stone feature wall, graze a fireplace surround, highlight artwork or keep a straight, tidy row of light down a hallway. Its matte black trim disappears into dark ceilings and frames the beam crisply against white drywall, which is why designers keep specifying it for both homes and storefronts. Under the trim sits a 7 watt LED module delivering up to 745 lumens at 96 lumens per watt, with a typical CRI of 90 so wood grain, paint colours, skin tones and merchandise look true.
