Built to disappear into the millworkThe #2000 Square is a miniature recessed
LED puck light designed to sit flush in cabinetry, shelving and soffits. The visible face measures 50 mm / 1.967", the body is 29 mm / 1.142" and 27 mm / 1.063", and the whole fixture installs in a single 35 mm / 1.378 inch cutout — a standard Forstner-bit hole your cabinetmaker can drill in seconds. This version wears a
square white trim, the cleanest match for white or painted cabinet frames, light melamine and drywall soffits. The same platform is also offered with round, 1-side, 2-side and louver trims in white, black and brushed stainless, so a single project can keep one lighting look from the kitchen island to the display wall.
Light quality you can actually seeWith 125 lumens from only 1 watt, this puck is the equivalent of a 20-watt incandescent without the heat load or the constant bulb changes. The
4000K neutral white colour temperature is the sweet spot for work surfaces and retail display: crisp and current, never blue, never yellow. A CRI of >80 keeps colours honest — important when you're lighting food prep, cosmetics, clothing or finished wood. The 25º projection angle creates a defined, controlled pool of light rather than a wash, which is exactly what you want for grazing a backsplash, highlighting a shelf of product or marking a stair. It is
dimmable, so the same installation can serve as task lighting at dinner prep and as low ambient light later in the evening.

Wiring, power and installationBecause it operates on
12/24 V DC low voltage, this puck needs a DC driver or power supply sized for the total load of the run — at 1 watt each, a long row of pucks stays very manageable, which is why designers can line a whole bank of cabinets without heavy electrical work. Plan your driver location in a ventilated, accessible spot (inside a cabinet gable, above the upper cabinets or in a service cavity), keep the low-voltage runs short to avoid voltage drop, and confirm your dimmer is matched to the driver before you close up the millwork. The
IP67 rating is a real advantage on the jobsite: it tolerates dust during construction and moisture in service, so it can be used in bathrooms, near sinks, in outdoor soffits, on steps or in wash-down areas where an ordinary cabinet light would fail.
Where it earns its place — and what pairs with itThink under-cabinet task lighting over a quartz counter, a grid of
square downlights inside a glass display case, accent points in a wine cellar, evenly spaced markers along a hallway soffit, or shelf lighting in a pharmacy, bakery or optician's shop. For a warmer residential feel use the
