Built small, built to lastThe PK2000 platform (model
LCPK2000) was designed for tight millwork and finished surfaces. The visible face measures 50 mm / 1.967" and the body behind it stays compact, so it hides inside a cabinet gable, a stair stringer or a deck frame without eating your usable space. On this SKU the trim is the
louver (persienne) style in brushed stainless — a shielded, slotted front that cuts direct view of the diode and pushes the light forward. The whole assembly is rated
IP67, which is why the same puck works just as happily under a bathroom vanity as it does in an exterior stair riser exposed to rain and snowmelt.
Light quality you can actually seeYou get
125 lumens of usable output from
1 watt — the visual punch of a
20-watt incandescent at a fraction of the draw, with up to 80% less energy than traditional halogen or incandescent accent lamps. The
25° beam keeps the light tight and intentional: defined scallops on a backsplash, a bright pool on a countertop, a soft wash on a stair tread. With a
CRI above 80, whites read white and wood grain reads warm rather than muddy, and the
3000K warm white tone flatters cabinetry, tile and skin tones. A power factor of
+90 means clean, efficient operation on your low-voltage circuit.

Wiring and installationBecause it is a
low-voltage 12/24 V DC fixture, this puck needs a DC driver or power supply sized for the total wattage of the run — at 1 watt each, you can chain a generous number of pucks on a modest supply, which is exactly why designers use them in long cabinet runs and stair sequences. Drill a
35 mm / 1.378" hole, feed the leads, seat the puck and you are finished; no visible hardware, no bulky housing. It is
dimmable, so pair it with a compatible low-voltage DC dimmer to set a bright task level for cooking and a low glow for evenings. Keep polarity consistent along the run and mount pucks toward the front edge of a cabinet so the beam lands on the counter instead of the backsplash.
Where it works and what it pairs withThink kitchen
under cabinet lighting, glass display and jewellery cases, wine cellars, bar fronts, bathroom vanity kicks, closet shelving, pantry interiors, stair risers, headboards, deck steps and garden walls. Contractors use the louver trim wherever a guest's eye line meets the fixture — low mounting heights, seating areas, corridors. Mix finishes and temperatures across a project with the
4000K black louver puck, the
RGB black louver puck for colour scenes, or step up to a wider spread with the
round 1-side puck in 4000K. The full
technical spec sheet (PDF), including the technical drawing and the complete trim and colour ordering guide, is available in the Documentation tab — handy for submittals and for matching finishes later in the job.
