What it is and what it doesThe FINISHING END CAP #14 (WITH HOLE) is a small but essential
LED channel accessory: a finishing cap that seals the open end of an aluminum extrusion after the LED strip and the diffuser have been installed. Left open, a channel shows its cut edge, collects dust, and lets the wire flop out of the profile. Capped, the same run reads as an integrated, architectural line of light. This version is drilled for the
power-entry side, so the supply wire or a connector exits cleanly through the cap instead of squeezing past the diffuser or forcing you to notch the extrusion.
Fit and compatibilityEnd caps are
profile-specific — the cap must match the shape and size of the extrusion family it closes. This one is the #14 standard profile cap, and it is not interchangeable with other profile numbers, so always match the cap to the channel you are actually installing. Across the accessory range you will find caps for surface-mount, recessed and corner channels, with and without a hole. For a typical single-feed run you want one hole cap at the driver end and one solid cap at the far end; for a continuous run fed from both directions, use two hole caps. If you are working with a different profile, the
Finishing end cap #11 (with hole) and the
Finishing end cap #11 (no hole) cover the #11 family, while
flexible neon installations use dedicated caps such as the
Flex neon endcap 6x6 (with hole) and the
Flex neon endcap 3x6 (without hole).
Installation, step by stepCut your channel to length and test-fit it in place before you commit to anything. Install the LED strip, seat the diffuser, then run the wire through the cap
before pressing the cap home — threading afterward is fiddly and risks scraping the conductor insulation. A light, even press is usually enough for a solid friction fit. For ceiling coves, mobile display carts, shop fixtures or anywhere the cap could be bumped or handled, a small dab of clear adhesive keeps it permanently in place without showing. Leave a bit of slack in the lead so the cap seats flush against the aluminum rather than being pulled off by the cable. Since the item is sold as
1 unit, count your open ends — including breaks at corners and expansion gaps — before ordering.

Where it shines and documentationThis cap belongs on every visible channel end in
under-cabinet kitchen lighting, cove and tray ceilings, stairwells, bookcases, walk-in closets, garage workbenches and basement renovations, and just as much in light-commercial work: retail display cases, jewellery counters, bar backs, salon mirrors, reception desks and office feature walls. Contractors across Canada keep a handful of each profile in the van precisely because a missing end cap is the one detail that holds up a final walkthrough. A
technical PDF is available in the Documentation tab of this page for reference before you order, and pairing this hole cap with a matching solid cap gives you a complete, dust-resistant, professionally finished
LED strip channel run from one end to the other.
