What this part isThis is a single (1X)
finishing end cap for the #90 standard aluminum profile, supplied in a black finish and in the closed,
without-hole configuration. Its only job is to close the cut end of an extrusion cleanly, and it does that job better than tape, filler or nothing at all. Without a cap, the aluminum edge, the ends of the diffuser lens and the LED tape stay visible from every angle — the installation reads as unfinished and stays open to dust, lint and accidental contact with the strip. With it, the run ends in a crisp line.
Fit and finishThe cap is shaped to match the profile it belongs to, so it seats flush against both the channel walls and the
diffuser lens, leaving no step or shadow at the end of the run. Because it is the version without a cable opening, it forms a fully closed end — the right choice at the last extrusion of a continuous line, at the end of an under-cabinet section, or anywhere a return of light would otherwise spill out of the profile. The black finish is the discreet option: against dark or black anodized
LED channels, black millwork and matte ceilings, the hardware simply vanishes.

Installation and layoutWork in the right order and the result is clean every time: cut the channel to length, file and clean the cut, insert the
LED strip and then the diffuser, and finally press the end cap into place. Plan the run before you cut — the closed cap goes at the far end, while the opening you need for the wiring stays on the driver side, so the low-voltage feed and the connection point land where you want them and not in the middle of a finished surface. If the profile will be handled often, a dab of adhesive secures the cap permanently; if you expect to reopen the channel for service, leave it as a friction fit. Keeping a couple of spare caps in the van or the drawer means a damaged end never holds up a whole job.
Where it shines and what it works withKitchens with under-cabinet and toe-kick lighting, cove lighting in living rooms and hallways, bookcases and display shelving, stair and corridor runs, walk-in closets, garage workbenches, workshops, retail gondolas, reception desks and office
linear lighting — every one of those installations ends somewhere, and that end deserves a cap. This part serves the #90 standard profile family; for other profiles and other configurations, see the matching accessories such as
Finishing end cap #11 (no hole),
Finishing end cap #11 (with hole), and for flexible neon-style runs,
Flex neon end cap 3x6 (without hole) or
Flex neon end cap 6x6 (without hole). Note that end caps are profile-specific: always match the cap to the extrusion series you are using, and count one cap per open end when you build your parts list.
