A track run is only as long as the pieces you can link together. Installation, polarity and safety
Start by shutting off the power at the main panel (fuse or breaker box) before installing any track or accessory. Loosen the set screws on the connector before sliding it into the open end of the track — forcing it in with the screws tight is the most common cause of a bad joint. To maintain circuit polarity, the ground tabs on the connector must be prepared before sliding it onto the NON-GROUND conductor-side tab of the track section you are joining; if the wrong tab has been removed, do not use the connector, because grounding will not be maintained. For wire connections, cut and strip the wires from the box (3/8" strip) and secure them to the screw terminals in the connectors or live end feeds. Once all track and connectors are in place, make sure dead-end caps are slid into ALL open ends of the track and that the set screws are tightened before power is restored. To reduce the risk of fire and electric shock, use only fixture assemblies marked for use with TUROLIGHT track, and always follow basic safety precautions and local installation requirements.

Compatibility and how heads attach
This connector is made for H-type, single circuit ASTELLA track and is not interchangeable with other track profiles. Lampholders mount the usual way: align the polarity line of the track with the polarity line of the lampholder, push the top of the mounting adapter (with the contact tabs) into the track slot and turn 90°. If the adapter does not turn easily, don't force it — turn the other way. To remove a head, press the release lever with your index finger and turn 90°. Pair this connector with the black ASTELLA track lengths — AST Track 2 ft, AST Track 4 ft, AST Track 6 ft — or with the white versions such as the AST Track 8 ft H type 1 circuit white when the ceiling is light and the track has to disappear.
