People call it a 3 inch pot light, a mini recessed downlight, an adjustable LED gimbal or simply a directional spot — whatever you call it, it is a complete, easy-to-install LED luminaire with an integrated driver, built for retrofit and new work alike. Because the trim tilts, you can aim the beam exactly where it belongs: down a stone feature wall, across a row of kitchen cabinets, onto artwork, or straight down as clean general lighting. Its black finish disappears into the ceiling plane, which is exactly what designers want when they don't want to see the fixture at all — just the light.

This model delivers up to 745 lumens from only 7 watts, an efficiency of 96 lumens per watt, so you get real downlight output while sipping energy compared to old halogen cans. The LED module holds a typical CRI of 90, so wood, paint, skin tones and merchandise look true instead of washed out. Light leaves through a lens that shapes a tight, controlled 45° beam angle, and the fixture is fully dimmable on industry-standard TRIAC/ELV dimmers through its 170 mA class II electronic driver with 100-135V AC, 50/60 Hz input. The LUNA 3" gimbal is made around a durable airtight aluminum body with an adjustable gimbal, so the light aims where you need it while the housing stays sealed against the ceiling cavity. Inside, an anodized blue heat sink keeps airflow moving around the LED light source, which is what protects output and colour over the long haul. Two spring-loaded clips hold the fixture in the ceiling and let it attach to virtually any ceiling material, from drywall to plywood soffits. The black trim finish is part of the BK / BN / WH family, and it is the choice most installers make when they want the aperture to visually vanish in a dark or high ceiling.

Light quality you can see
A 7 watt LED module produces up to 745 lumens with uniform intensity — no hot spots, no patchy scallops — at a typical CRI of 90. Power comes from an extruded aluminum hardwire box housing a 170 mA dimmable class II electronic LED driver with 100-135V AC input. An 18" FT6 rated cable with a DC 2.1 connector links the driver to the fixture and is approved for use in plenums and suspended ceilings, and three Quick Connect push-in terminals make wiring fast — a real time saver when you're installing a whole floor of downlights.
