regressed gimbal recessed fixture is the most versatile version of it. The durable airtight aluminum body houses an adjustable regressed gimbal, so the LED module sits deep behind the aperture instead of staring back at you. An anodized blue heat sink provides maximum airflow for the LED light source, which is how a fixture this compact holds its output over time. The trim measures 4 3/8" (111 mm) across with a 3 3/8" (85 mm) inner dimension, the housing depth is roughly 4 3/16" (106 mm) by 3 1/16" (78 mm), and the white trim finish keeps it visually quiet in a drywall or plaster ceiling.

CRI of 95+ — a real difference when you are lighting a kitchen backsplash, a gallery wall, cabinetry or retail product. The on-fixture
colour selectable switch lets you pick 2700 K, 3000 K, 3500 K, 4000 K or 5000 K on site, so one box of fixtures can serve a warm living room and a cooler laundry room in the same house. Output follows the setting: 1040 lumens at 2700 K, 1090 at 3000 K, 1135 at 3500 K, 1160 at 4000 K and 1145 at 5000 K. The lens delivers a 38° beam spread, and the gimbal tilts up to 40° with 20° rotation each way for precise aiming.

Wiring and installationTwo spring-loaded clips attach the fixture to any ceiling material, so retrofits into existing drywall are quick. The extruded aluminum hardwire box holds a 12 watt (300 mA) dimmable Class II electronic LED driver with 100-135V AC input, and an 18" (457 mm) FT6 rated cable with a DC 2.1 connector links the driver to the fixture — approved for use in plenums and suspended ceilings. Three "Quick connect" push-in terminals make wiring fast and tool-free. Because the fixture is airtight and approved for direct contact with insulation, it works in insulated attic ceilings and in
wet locations such as shower and covered exterior soffits. For dimming, use industry standard forward-phase / reverse-phase or TRIAC/ELV controls for smooth 100%-10% performance.
