Meet the 3.5" Luna Gimbal, a recessed gimbal downlight built for anyone searching for reliable surface mount led downlights or adjustable recessed lighting that actually stays put once it's aimed. Also known as a pivoting pot light or aimable recessed fixture, this compact 3.5" trim lets you angle the beam exactly where you need it — perfect for washing artwork, highlighting a kitchen island, or accenting a retail display. SKU RA35S-12G-DTW-90WH, finished in a clean white that disappears into any ceiling.

This fixture runs at 12W and delivers 90 CRI color rendering, so skin tones, artwork, and merchandise all look true to life instead of washed out. It features DTW (dim-to-warm) technology, meaning the color temperature shifts to a cozy warm glow as you dim it down, mimicking the natural behavior of incandescent bulbs — a favorite for living rooms, dining areas, and hospitality spaces where mood lighting matters. It's rated IC (insulation contact safe) and suitable for damp locations, giving you flexibility for bathrooms, covered porches, and other humid spots. Built to Title 24 (T24) standards and fully dimmable, it pairs effortlessly with the dimmer switches your clients already love.

Whether you're outfitting a condo renovation in Toronto, a custom home in Vancouver, or a boutique shop needing crisp, high-CRI accent lighting, this Luna Gimbal adapts to the room instead of forcing the room to adapt to it. It fits right alongside the rest of the Luna family, including the 3.5" Luna Gimbal in black and the brushed nickel version for spaces that call for a coordinated finish palette, or the 3.5" Luna square recessed fixture when you need a fixed-beam companion in the same size and finish. Order the white RA35S-12G-DTW-90WH today and bring dimmable, high-CRI accent lighting to your next project.

The 3.5" Luna Gimbal (RA35S-12G-DTW-90WH) is a recessed, pivoting downlight designed for installers and homeowners who want the flexibility of a directional accent light without the bulk of a track head. Its adjustable gimbal mechanism tilts and rotates within the ceiling housing so you can redirect the beam long after the drywall is finished, making it a go-to choice for accent lighting, wall washing, and highlighting architectural features.

Light quality and dimming
With a 90 CRI rating, this fixture renders colors with excellent accuracy, which matters wherever people are evaluating fabric, food, artwork, or skin tones. The DTW (dim-to-warm) feature is one of its standout characteristics: as the light is dimmed, the color temperature warms up automatically, replicating the cozy, amber glow of a dimmed incandescent bulb — a detail that elevates dining rooms, hotel lobbies, and any space designed for ambiance. Naturally, it's fully dimmable, so it integrates cleanly into existing low-voltage or ELV dimming setups.

Construction and installation
Rated IC (insulation contact), the housing can be safely installed in direct contact with insulation, which simplifies retrofit and new-construction jobs alike in attics and insulated ceilings. It also carries a damp location rating, extending its use to covered outdoor soffits, bathrooms, and other areas with occasional moisture exposure. Compliance with Title 24 (T24) standards makes it a straightforward specification choice for projects that require energy code alignment. The finish is a crisp white (WH), chosen to blend seamlessly into painted ceilings.

From condo renovations to boutique retail fit-outs across Canada, the 3.5" Luna Gimbal gives contractors and homeowners a dependable, high-CRI, dimmable solution that's ready for both dry and damp installations.
