Built to last, built to install fastThe LUNA 3.5" starts with a durable airtight fixed aluminum body and an anodized blue heat sink that maximizes airflow around the LED light source — the single biggest factor in how long a
recessed LED downlight keeps its brightness and colour. Two spring loaded clips attach the fixture to any ceiling material, so drywall, plaster, wood and T-bar all work. The extruded aluminum hardwire box keeps the driver protected and separate from the housing, connected by an 18" (457 mm) FT6 rated cable with a DC 2.1 connector approved for use in plenums and suspended ceilings. Fixture dimensions are 4 3/8" (111 mm) overall diameter, 3 3/8" (85 mm) body, 4 3/16" (106 mm), 3 1/16" (78 mm) and 15/16" (34 mm), with a required hole cut of Ø 3 5/8" (92 mm).
Light quality you can seeThis general application fixture uses a 12 watt LED module that maintains uniform intensity and produces up to 600 lumens, with a typical CRI of 90 for rich, accurate colour. The 38° beam spread from the lens keeps light where you aim it — great for counters, islands, vanities, corridors and display areas. The colour temperature dims from 3000 K down to 2000 K, so a bright, comfortable warm white at full output becomes a soft, relaxed glow when you turn it down, just like the incandescent lighting people miss. LM79 and LM80 testing back the photometric and lumen maintenance claims, and projected life is 70% at 33,000 hours.
